Last night, we celebrated Shad's 34th birthday after we got home from awana...Me and the kids went to walmart and they got to pick out anything they wanted for daddy's present. I did not help them at all. We ended up in the hunting section and bought doe pee, no-scent spray and deodorant (which is $10!!!!). Then, we proceeded to the toys where Jacob thought daddy would like the $20 transformer...After much deliberation, we ended up with a resin buck deer for daddy's desk at work. We also bought for Maffew Hot (Matthew Hart in Jake language)...his birthday is the 1st too. Ava wrapped everything herself and we presented daddy with his gift at home last night...I got him a cake and he blew out the candles while we sang happy birthday. He also got cards from my parents, Aunt Sue, Bert & Barbara, and Messmer (yes...the politicians know your bdays...scary)...We never could catch Matt at home...went up there twice and finally gave up...we'll try again tonight. Here are some pics from our celebration...

When we got home from church, I noticed a pile of wet clothes outside the door...my husband was a rescue hero while we were gone...Our dog, Sam, has seizures occasionally and while swimming in our pond last night, started to seize...my husband looked out to the pond and all he could see were Sam's hind legs sticking out of the water...so, being the brave guy he is...he jumped in full force and saved our seizing dog...said the water was ice cold and the dog weighs in about 100 #...probably close to 120-130# wet and seizing...of course the cell phone was hooked to the belt, so it is ruined too. But, the important thing is that Sam is alive and well. The dog has over 9 lives...if any of you know him, you know he has overcome many battles in his life...hit by a car, has been lost several times but always found his way home...
Getting ready for the home tour on Sunday...Everyone is so reluctant to do home tours because of what people will say about their home...you know...I really don't care what people think about my home...or if they don't like my decor...or if they think my kids' toys are out of place...etc... That is why it is MY home and not theirs...I didn't build this home for everyone else to be happy...I'm all about curb appeal, but the rest is just juvenile, in my opinion...I hope you all can come out and support the BR seniors...the class trip is so valuable...I hope this will help so they can all participate. If anyone needs tickets, call me or email me...my cousin, Brittany, is selling and I would love to provide her a little extra support...
