Jacob got to experience deer spotting for the first time this weekend. He was partnered with his father and half-brother (not really, but close friend for sure), Nathan Hart. While the girls (me and Ave) were spending some female time at home, the guys were being chased by game-wardens. Yes...they got pulled over while spotting. Jacob was out of his carseat so he could "see the deer", but evidently they were just coasting...not really on a public road...anyway, the game wardens were on each side and made them get out. They asked if there were any guns and Shad said no...he may seem hard-core, but he does follow the laws. Anyway, as they were getting out, Nathan was helping little Jake and Jake yelled..."hold on...I have to get my gun!" MMMMM...Jacob, we just told them we didn't have any guns! Little Jakie reached for his gun and pulled out a pink water pistol. I guess the game wardens thought it was pretty funny. They still got patted down, so now Jacob will probably be searching us from head to toe. I'm sure he thought the whole experience was pretty cool. I'm so proud...at least I can say that in the midst of a bad experience, his father did teach him that it is important to obey the law. Good Job!
