Saturday, we did our weekly lunch with mom and great city grandma...kids were really good...we got some great bargains at knickers and petticoats, but Jacob left his "mean guys" there, unknowing to his mother at the time. So, at lunch, I called and told them to please find his guys and put them at the front register. Thank goodness they found them all in the dressing room...guess he was off playing while I was so intrigued with my bargains...Saturday night, we fixed steaks on the grill for Darla, but the steaks went up in flames...They were charbroiled to say the least, but we used other means for our supper and still had a nice time.
Friday of last week was haircut day at Amber Jo's...Everyone did fine...no major drama. Ava was very concerned that she was gonna get a haircut instead of a trim. She is determined to have hair down to her bottom (we'll c), so any type of hair cut is a little traumatic for her. And, ever since Jacob's father cut him a mohawk (to b funny), he has been pretty scared of cuts too. Poor little kids. But, we did well and headed to McDonalds for our weekly happy meal before preschool.
This week, we have nothing huge planned...Ava had her St. Patty's day party at school today...she went all decked out in her green. We'll see how it goes. Wednesday at preschool is backwards day, so that will be great fun...Looking forward to next week...I'm off some during the week due to Jasper spring break, so we're gonna hopefully do some playing at the park, etc. We're gonna be visiting the Big Splash Adventure at Fr. Lick in the next couple weeks...can't wait to see how it is...just opened last week for the first time. We absolutely loved Caribbean Cove in Indy, so I'm anticipating a good time...it's our mini family vacation before the baby arrives...
