Feeling better? Or worse??

We had a pretty good night...fever only got to 103.4! Yeah! I know, but when you have 104-105 for 4-5 days, 103 looks pretty great!
Ava slept pretty good...except for the hour or so we fought with the high fever. When your fever gets that high, every bone, muscle, and blood vessel hurts. She just wimpers like a little puppy when she gets like that. Poor little baby.
She woke about 9am and only had temp around 98-99...said her throat was better, felt good, etc. She has really been lonesome for her friends and becoming quite stir crazy being in our house all week, so she begged to go trick or treating to a couple places....and...."please oh please can Trista go with us...please mom....please mom....". So, mom broke and we went trick or treating ... weren't gone much over an hour...didn't want to overdo it, because we certainly are not out of the woods yet...Here are our little trick or treaters...
Dorothy, Brody (posing as Brody), Batman, and Ballerina Ava...They were all pretty cute...Jake had Ava's leggings on under his costume (I know...Batman was a real stud with girl leggings on) and Ava just kept laughing, saying, mom...his little butt...it's just so little! I'm afraid she is right. Jake's costume fit him to a tee. He truly is Batman...from the heart...
After trick or treating at my dad's...and at the hospital (mom, Shirley Yoder, Darla Knepp, and Linda Troutman), Ava was still hanging on...felt good...wanted a pop...still hasn't peed today, but is trying to drink...they wanted to go to McDonalds, but I knew Ave wouldn't eat and I really didn't want them touching all those disgusting play things at McDonalds playland...so we hit the drive thru and headed home. Of course the girls wanted to play...I had to evaluate the illness before I made a decision. Ava's temp was still less than 100, and she had been pretty active all morning...so we called Jennifer and asked if Trista could stay for a while.
In the meantime, I decided we would do something fun, that we could do sitting down....I didn't want them running and getting worn out...so we made bread dough ornaments...I got a new book with "kid concoctions"...the recipe was in there. Thanks to our Nanny Sue, we were able to make the dough...we had to borrow glue from her...She always saves the day! Here are some pics to show you how it went...

We tore up bread and added white glue and food coloring...it was nasty, but the kids loved it...Jake decided to eat his bread crumbs instead of making dough...whatever floats your boat...I guess. Here are our results...bread dough caterpillars!

hey! glad ava is feeling quite a bit better! hope she continues to get even better quickly!

is batman really the bad guy? lol, i'm not to up on my superhero people! brycen loves spiderman, and i never knew spiderman was bad until someone said he was? i never really checked into it lol... i agree w/ you boys will be boys and if we teach them right from wrong then they will know better :) i just don't like the scary faces that kill ppl (like the jason mask or the scream mask!). obviously, he's a little young for that stuff yet!

the bread dough creations are sooo neat! i'm going to have to get a book like that! especially w/ winter coming, brycen gets stir crazy b/c he'd much rather be outside!
