Dr. Ruff to the rescue!!

I just called Jasper Pediatrics, aka Dr. Ruff, for my second update today...he insisted that I call this morning and this afternoon with an update...he had a million questions...Anyway, I confessed that I took her out today...he said it probably did her good to get some air and do something besides lay around...that's why I like him...he doesn't tell you your a bad mother for this, for stopping breastfeeding, for giving a pacifier, etc. He wants her to continue her current treatmens...push fluids, activity as tolerated, and he called in an oral antibiotic as well as culturelle (a normal bacteria in the gut that is sometimes depleted with antibiotic use...antibiotic kills good bacteria as well as the bad and sometimes causes upset stomach). I have to call AGAIN tomorrow morning, even though he is out on Friday...Dr. Bies will address us tomorrow. It's fine to do whatever she is tolerating. So, I guess we can trick or treat tonight if she is feeling ok. She still hasn't peed today, but has some energy so must not be too awfully dry. However, kids usually go down fast, so I'm trying to push fluids as best as I can.
I really hope all Ava's friends don't get sick...she isn't contagious today, because of her Rocephin yesterday...we still don't know if it is viral, bacterial, or nothing. She is currently cutting her back molars and a front bottom tooth. I still think this has something to do with it, but I'm just the mom...until tomorrow...
