Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone...we had a really good weekend. This year, for halloween, we started a new tradition. We went trick or treating on Thursday night and on Friday, had our own halloween party at home. We all wore our halloween shirts, put up decorations, played games, had a nice meal, and got to see all our trick or treaters! It really was fun. I think the kids enjoyed Friday night way more than trick or treating! Friday afternoon, while we were in town, we were invaded with tarantulas. Here is a picture of what they did to our kitchen!

Saturday was a busy day...we spent about an hour at the library, went to Knepps to eat with my family from Boonville, then went back to town to hit walmart...the kids and I picked out our presents for operation christmas child. Ava had a ball...Jake thinks he should get all the presents! He's still trying to con me into giving him the motorcycle for his shoe box! After that, we went home for naps and headed to Jasper later that evening for supper. Ava invited herself over to grandmas to spend the night, so Jake flew solo with mom and dad.

Sunday, we celebrated my dad's 60th birthday. We always have a birthday bash for him. I fixed Sunday lunch and we decorated the house...made a great cake with a rainbow on it...Ava did most of it herself. We always sing happy birthday, blow out candles, and open presents. I really think dad enjoys it more than the kids! Here is dad blowing out his candles...

Sunday night was fun too. We had small groups at Matt and Jessica Gingerich's. Everyone attended...we haven't all met as a group for a month or so due to other activities...so it was nice to come together again.
And today, it's Monday...I shouldn't whine. I'm having a good day. I love my co-workers and I am not overworked. I don't work in the cold or hot and I don't have to sweat to get my work done. I have it pretty good.
