Yes... I know...Shawn (preacher Shawn) has already harassed me about loving Oprah and Dr. Phil...anyway, did anyone see her episode regarding her favorite new gadget? It's called the Kindle. It's an electronic reading device. It's flatter than a book, has a no-glare screen, and you can shop for books from the device with no computer involvement. It has a cell phone battery so no computer or network is required. When you download a book, magazine, newspaper, blog, etc. it arrives to your Kindle within one minute. I wish they would have had these when I was in college...my back wouldn't be in the shape it is in now! Oh well...I couldn't resist. I bought one. It should be here in about 2 weeks. I cannot wait. I love to read, but don't because I don't want to mess with dragging stuff to work and back every day. And, when I start a book, it seems like I always lose my page, lose the book, etc. Now, I won't have to worry about it. Check it out on Oprah.com. Actually it would be easier to look at Amazon.com and search Kindle.
In other news...this week....well, for the most part, I cannot complain. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful children and a wonderful family. I cannot explain how comforting it is to have such loving, christian friends and family to support you when you need it most. I guess this week has just been one to remember for our family...anyone who knows me will know what I'm talking about. Anyway, treasure your friendships, treasure your family, and treasure your babies. Life goes on and you have to make the most of every minute. I've tried really hard this past year to live for the day and not for tomorrow. If there is work to be done, but I'm home with my children, we may very likely ignore the work and ride the golfcart all day...or go to the park...or visit friends, etc. I've learned that the material things, work, chores, etc. will be there tomorrow, but we may not be.

You are soooo right, Jamie!! All those things (work to be done, bills to pay, groceries to buy) don't mean a thing when you really look at your life and how you want to live it...the people you love mean the most:) Thanks, Jamie!! Love your blog!!
Amen sister...I just wish that I had more of that. I was just telling my mom the other night what a great mom that you are. I admire your ability to 'play' with your kids. Keep inspiring me....

Oh- Alex is so jealous!! We were just discussing (after Oprah of course--Greta, don't tell Shawn!) how much we want a Kindle, but I'm afraid Alex would hog it all of the time. We decided to wait until the "newness" wears off some so it will be cheaper. And, you know I love you girl, just keep emailing me when you need to, you know I understand. ((bighugs))
how right you are... the clean house means nothing when you don't spend time having fun w/ your kids. i catch myself saying "hold on" to brycen way more than i would like. it's def. something i'm working on!
Hey girl!!! I think we all should be "thanking" you for being such a great friend. You have been such a blessing in my life.

And we probably shouldn't tell Ryan that I even put that about his "mole" on here, he might not think that was too funny! he thinks i'm nuts w/ this blog thing!
A co-worker just bought the Kindle and LOVES it! Sounds very cool. You have been in my thoughts and prayers this week. I know it's been a tough week.
